Power on sequence
On power up the machine runs through a startup sequence, this checks the functions of the machine and homes the claw to the correct position. The order of the sequence is as follows.
- LED initiate
- Audio device initiate
- Audio Test
- Raise claw/Home Z axis
- Home X axis
- Home Y axis
- Claw open close check
Once the test completes the LED bar will show a falling blue animation, the machine is now ready for use.
note: After each play the claw closes and opens, this is to eliminate any drift that might occur in the mechanism.
Difficulty modes
The machine has 3 selectable difficulty settings to increase/decrease chance to win. Easy, Normal and Hard. To change difficulty press the following button combination:
Press and hold the right button (continue holding).
Then press and hold the left button until LED bar changes colour.
Release both buttons.
Repeat this process to cycle through the settings. The colour indicates the selected difficulty.
Easy = Green
Normal = Yellow
Hard = Red
Note: On machine start up the difficulty always defaults to Normal.
Maintenance
Because this is a mechanical machine maintenance is recommended to ensure smooth running and to protect the interfacing parts.
Check the linear rails the claw gantry moves along are well lubricated with lithium or synthetic grease.
Check none of the cables are blocking the claws movement. Any obstructions will be discovered during the start up sequence, if there is an obstruction and the start up sequence fails to complete, remove the power clear the obstruction and restore power.
Check belt tension, the X and Y movement is belt driven. Check the belts are not too loose/tight. Belt tension can be adjusted by loosening the belt clamp repositioning the belt then tightening the clamp.
Any other issues are best left to someone with electrical mechanical experience. I am always available for assistance via my contact section.
